Christine Quinn is back with the “Selling the Sunset“crew!
The reality TV personality rang the bell on her four-year hiatus from the show as she prepares to rejoin the cast for filming just after negotiations are done and dusted.
The 37-year-old’s release of “Selling Sunset” was credited with changing the entire trajectory from an authentic production to a less interesting one because of the genuine energy that Christine Quinn brought to the series and the way she connected with viewers.
In the Return To The Real Estate series by Christine Quinn

The tenth season of the series will welcome Quinn’s return after filming was delayed so she could complete negotiations, four years after stepping down in 2022. Quinn’s TV return comes months after Chrishell Stause announced in November that she was leaving the series after nine seasons.
Stause will not be returning to the series, nor will Nicole Young and Chelsea Lazkani, who joined the series in 2020 and 2022, respectively. Quinn debuted on the series in 2019 alongside Stause, Maya Vander, Heather Rae El Moussa and Davina Potratz.
Together they were part of the Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles, owned by twin brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim. As US Magazine noted, she left the series after its fifth season concluded in 2022, stating that her departure was intended to push her to pursue her own brokerage firm, which she started with her ex-husband, Christian Dumontet.
The reality star hinted at a possible return in February
As shared by The Blast, Quinn has been candid about his return to the show and largely tends to be unsure, but noted that discussions are taking place behind the scenes. According to her, she would still be willing to have fun and make deals on the show, but the whole situation also needs to make sense to her before giving a positive nod.
Quinn further revealed that even though she left the show, she still stays in touch with certain cast members, like Jason, who she loves so much, alongside other female members of the show. The former Netflix star then added that since leaving, she hasn’t watched the show, but she’s fully aware that things have taken a darker turn compared to when she was on the show.
She said people acted as if a veil was lifted from their faces about certain situations she addressed, where they thought she was being dramatic. According to her: “A lot of people have said to me, ‘I went back and re-watched the season, and it’s like I wore rose-colored glasses the first time I saw it.’ And so that makes me feel good.
Davina Potratz spilled the tea on the effect of ever-changing casts
Potratz noted that since Quinn left the show alongside other stars like Vander, the tone and balance of the show has totally changed. The Blast said she described the show’s original cast as a perfect storm of ambition, luxury and personality, difficult to replicate since their departure.
She praised the combination of Quinn’s charming personality, Maya’s calm and pragmatism, with Potratz’s honest professionalism, a chemistry made for television success. Potratz pointed out that fans loved seeing them break down and find their way back on camera, even if what they had wasn’t perfect, it was real.
She continued that as the show introduced more storylines and new faces each season, the emotional connections that once defined the season began to wane. Potratz added that while the new cast members have brought their unique style and touch to the series, the constant changing of cast members prevents the audience from creating the same type of investment and engagement.
Christine Quinn’s return comes in the middle of her divorce
The former Netflix star suffered a blow to her marriage, two years after stepping down from the show, by filing for divorce from Dumontet in April 2024. Nearly a year after filing, she revealed in an interview in 2025 that people didn’t really know what was going on in the marriage and how bad things were.
The reality star, who is currently staying in Texas with her son, noted that she had to move because she had no choice and was granted an emergency protection order, but her ex raped her. She said her ex kept coming home, urging them to stay in hotels and couch surf while in Texas.
Quinn revealed that moving meant abandoning her life, completely stripped of everything she knew overnight and forced to deal with a dehumanizing and destitute situation. She alluded to several issues leading to the marriage’s deterioration before finally filing for divorce.
Christian Dumontet’s divorce, 37, began with domestic conflict
The reality star and Dumontet’s marriage collapsed after five years, and what followed was an ugly legal battle. The former couple became involved when police intervened just after the Netflix alum claimed her ex-husband threw a bag of clothes, which accidentally landed on their son.
Although Dumontet denied the incident, he was still arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, but he was ultimately released on bail. Following his experience and his arrest, Dumontet proceeded to file for divorce, claiming that their marriage had broken down due to irreconcilable differences. The software engineer filed for sole custody of their son and requested termination of the “Selling Sunset” star’s right to spousal support.
Quinn and her ex-husband moved forward with their legal battle by seeking a restraining order against each other. The Netflix alum emerged victorious in two ways: first, by forcing her ex-husband to stay 100 yards away, and also by gaining exclusive use of their Los Angeles home.
Season 10 of “Selling Sunset” promises to be great with the presence of Christian Quinn!
