Star Trek: Starfleet Academy season 2 is in post-production and the last 10 episodes of the series should be broadcast in early 2027 on Paramount+. However, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy co-showrunner Noga Landau hinted that season 2 would end on a cliffhangerwhich could leave Starfleet Academy‘s story is frustrating and open-ended.

It is possible that Paramount+ will grant Star Trek: Starfleet Academy additional filming to tie up the loose ends of the series with a coda, which happened when Star Trek: Discovery was abruptly canceled with season 5.
