Gypsy made sure her dad felt her love as he marked his birthday on March 25, sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram.
The upload featured a heart-filtered selfie of the father and daughter smiling while lounging by what appeared to be a swimming pool, as well as a single photo of him relaxing in a chair.
Captioning the post, the 34-year-old wrote: “Happy birthday dad. You are an inspiration of unconditional love” and tagged him.
Shortly after, the influencer shifted gears with a more playful update, this time putting her mother-in-law in the spotlight in a video that subtly nods to her recent controversy.
As seen on the Instagram Reel, the two stood side by side, with Gypsy Rose having a solemn appearance while her mother-in-law lip-synched the audio: “It was a disaster in a dumpster fire, inside a train.”

During the exchange, Gypsy shared several personal revelations, including wearing wigs due to damage from bleach and using towels instead of toilet paper while incarcerated.
However, it was his mention of serving more than eight years in prison for his mother’s murder that sparked outrage online.
Critics flooded the comments, with some calling the comments disturbing and inappropriate given the severity of the situation.
“This is actually disturbing. There’s something seriously wrong mentally with both of them,” one user wrote, while another pointed out that there was nothing funny about his statement.

According to The Blast, the Lifetime star said joining the trend, alongside someone who had also faced criticism, felt like an opportunity to openly discuss difficult topics and take responsibility for their actions.
However, it went poorly and she acknowledged that she understood that people were angry because it touched on a sensitive subject. According to her, she wanted the video to be such that it focused on her “responsibility and growth.”
She said that in the future she would avoid using her mother’s murder as part of a social media trend and apologized for the clip.

The Blast reported that on the 10th anniversary of her mother’s death, she shared an emotional reflection on Instagram, noting that the date had two very different meanings for her. It marks both the day she first saw her daughter Aurora’s ultrasound and the day her mother died.
Although she does not glorify her mother, talking about the abuse she suffered, she also does not present herself as perfect, admitting her role in what happened. However, she believes that the birth of her daughter “represents a new beginning and a chance to break each cycle.”
