Chaos at Coachella: Uninvited influencers, canceled rentals, skyrocketing ticket resales

Everyone always wants access to Coachella, but this year, last-minute changes before opening weekend are causing chaos… because some influencers claim they’re not invited just a day or two before the big festival opens, and ordinary people cry foul over escalating costs.

Entertainment and lifestyle influencer Tiahra Nelson — who has 4.7 million followers on the app — hopped on TikTok on Thursday and said she was ready and even had her hair done for the big show in Indio, Calif….but she says her ticket was abruptly taken away.

Yazmine Marzialiwho has more than 280,000 fans on TikTok, said in an 8-minute speech that his marquee trip was canceled 2 days before he was due to leave for the California desert. These are just two examples of heartbroken creators reporting that their projects and deals have been canceled…there are many more.

Neither designer has revealed the brand behind their cancellations…but one suspect fashion brand, Edikted, is causing some of the last-minute disarray. TMZ has reached out to the company for comment…so far, no response.

Meanwhile, viewers who booked Airbnbs are complaining online that their hosts are canceling their reservations for the weekend… and some are reportedly relisting the pads at higher prices. Other renters claim their stay is canceled for no reason, and at this point…all other options in the area are inaccessible with prices skyrocketing because the festival is about to start. Not to mention that the hotels are booked.

This is apparently an ongoing issue reported by users across multiple social media platforms.

And to add to the problems, more and more fans planning to attend Coachella say resale sites like Stubhub are allowing ticket holders to do the same trick: sellers not delivering their tickets, then relisting them for absurd prices.

TMZ also reached out to Airbnb and Stubhub for comment…so far, no feedback.

Coachella has long been a sought-after event that requires fans to shell out large sums of money to attend — spending thousands of dollars just on general admission tickets coupled with the most basic camping options.

This year, all eyes are on Coachella. Justin Bieber is about to headline a rare performance that has everyone talking. Sabrina Charpentier makes his headlining debut Friday, while Karol G. will take the main stage on Sunday. They will be supported by major artists like KATSEYE, Teddy swims, Young thug, DARK and more.
