Pope Leo Oh my God … AI could destroy humanity!!!
Published

Pope Leo XIV East raising a major wake-up call regarding artificial intelligence… stating that the technology could become dangerous if left unchecked.
The pope released his first major Vatican document focused on AI on Monday. He compared today’s artificial intelligence to the biblical ‘Tower of Babel’… warning that powerful companies are building technologies that could end up harming rather than helping humanity.
Leo particularly denounced the use of AI in warfare, saying the technology should face the “most rigorous ethical restrictions” when used for military purposes.
He also warned that AI could gradually destroy human dignity if society becomes too obsessed with efficiency, speed and profit.
The Pontiff argued for stricter laws, outside oversight and greater accountability from companies developing AI systems… saying the technology should not remain in the hands of a few powerful players.
Leo seemed to take direct aim at Silicon Valley and the tech executives who were rushing to dominate the AI boom without fully understanding the long-term consequences.
The Pope has repeatedly described AI as one of the biggest threats facing humanity and this latest warning makes it clear that he wants governments and tech companies to slow things down before they get too far bogged down.
Damn…it looks like this tension between the robots and the Bishop of Rome is only just beginning.
