Prepare to say goodbye to Colin Accounts.

While 2025-2026 network television cycle has been finished for a few weeks now, that doesn’t mean CBS doesn’t have other projects going down other avenues. As an example, the NCIS franchise lives primarily on traditional broadcasts, but Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo NCIS: Tony and Ziva was primarily released on Paramount+. While this is perhaps the most prominent example, that doesn’t mean it’s not the only show to feature this setup.

Australian romantic comedy, Colin Accountshave the same arrangement with CBS. The show was created for Foxtel and is currently streaming on Binge. It became available to stream internationally on Paramount+ in 2023. The show is, however, produced by two production companies, Easy Tiger Productions and CBS Studios, which is the same entity behind popular ongoing projects such as CIA, Boston Blueand even the Reach spin-off, Neagleyamong others.

As announced by lead stars Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer themselves (via @cbstvstudios/Instagram), Colin Accounts is back for seaosn 3, but it will also be the final installment of the beloved series. Unfortunately, no clear reasoning was given regarding the cancellation. Either way, the fact that they have the time and opportunity to wrap up such a beloved show is better than the series being taken off the air with lingering storylines. Check out the announcement below:

For context, Colin Accounts debuted in 2022 and follows Ashley and Gordon – two singles living in Sydney, Australia, who have a fateful encounter. They are brought together by a car accident that keeps them connected, as well as an injured dog, whom they named Colin Accounts. It’s a pretty cool way to title the series, as the branding makes it difficult to decipher what the project actually is just based on the name.

In any case, Colin Accounts became a critical and commercial success. The series still has a 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is impressive considering it’s been on the air for two seasons now. The audience score is also excellent at 87%. He is able to mix humor with heartwarming moments, which seems like a fairly simple but actually tricky mix to execute. For romantic comedy fans looking for underrated gems, Colin Accounts seems like the perfect binge with only 16 episodes.

For now, Colin Accounts season 3 does not yet have an exact premiere date. However, based on the series’ rollout model, it’s safe to assume that it will premiere this year and will likely also be a one-off release on all platforms it’s available on. From Brammall and Dyer’s statement, it appears that the decision to conclude came from them, as they explained that they felt like it was the organic end of the story. But at the very least, they have a chance to say goodbye to Ash and Gordon.
