The Scottish Open returns to the Renaissance Club this week, with the tournament once again featuring one of the strongest lineups outside of the four majors.

Featuring most of the big names from the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, this weekend’s action at North Berwick offers players one last chance to qualify for the final major of the year, the Open. It will take place next weekend at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club.

Chris Gotterup returns to defend the crown he won last year, after a fierce battle against Rory McIlroy, who also returns to take on the demanding and rugged Coastal Course as the bookies’ favourite. The star-studded field also includes world number one Scottie Scheffler, who is looking to improve on his eighth-place finish at last year’s tournament. And Jon Rahm will be playing in his first PGA Tour event outside of the majors since his controversial move to LIV Golf three years ago.

Reigning Scottish Open champion Chris Gotterup will look to win a back-to-back title following his triumph at last weekend’s John Deere Classic.
