Jimmy Kimmel mocks Mitch McConnell… even as the Kentucky senator recovers in the hospital from his latest health issue.
On Sunday, the late-night host posted an AI image to Instagram showing a smiling Kimmel sitting in a hospital bed next to McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, who is also smiling. In the caption, Jimmy wrote, “For those who asked, I feel great.”

The fake image looks almost identical to the photo Mitch posted with a statement just hours earlier, but there was one big difference: Mitch — not Jimmy — was smiling in the hospital bed next to Elaine.
In Mitch’s statement, the Republican senator said he suffered a serious spill, which landed him in the hospital, but that he did not break any limbs nor did he suffer a heart attack or stroke.
Mitch also said he had no tumor or bleeding and was briefly unconscious before being taken to hospital with a mild case of pneumonia.
But Jimmy clearly doesn’t care because he makes fun of Mitch and/or implies that Mitch’s photo is an AI. However, Mitch may have made Jimmy better by including what appears to be a copy of Sunday’s Washington Post sports section.
