A model scout linked to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead in his home.
Daniel Siad, 69, was discovered Monday in Colombes, in the northwest suburbs of Paris, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office confirmed to the BBC.
“An investigation aimed at determining the causes of death was opened Monday evening following this discovery,” the office said, specifying that an autopsy will be carried out.
Siad’s name appeared thousands of times in the Epstein files released by the US government. He had previously denied any knowledge of the threat posed by Epstein.
Epstein’s victim Anya – not her real name – previously told the BBC that Siad introduced her to Epstein.
Before a BBC investigation published on July 18, Siad’s lawyer said he was unavailable for comment, but he had previously denied knowing that Epstein posed a threat.
