The father of one of Nolan Wells‘Friends is offering a large cash reward in hopes of shedding light on the mysterious circumstances surrounding Nolan’s death, TMZ has learned.

Dr. Benjamin Hudsonthe father of Warren Hudsontells TMZ he’s offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Nolan’s death — putting a $50,000 reward on the table for information leading investigators to who is responsible.

The teen’s father also makes it clear that his family isn’t pointing fingers at anyone… telling us, “We don’t know if anyone is involved, but we care about Nolan and want to find out what happened.”

Dr. Hudson also strongly defends the teenagers who were with Nolan that day, saying he believed the boys on the three boats were not involved in Nolan’s death and making it clear: “we still don’t know what happened.”

He says the Hudson family has been living a nightmare since the case gained national attention…and, according to Dr. Hudson, his family has received thousands of death threats – which he says has made it even more difficult for investigators to get the information they need.

The father speculates that intense public scrutiny may have discouraged potential witnesses from coming forward… adding, “We feel like people aren’t speaking out because of the pressure of the case.”

By offering the $50,000 reward, Dr. Hudson hopes that anyone with credible information will finally come forward so that Nolan’s loved ones can get answers and investigators can determine exactly what happened.

As you know…Nolan was found dead after disappearing on July 4, after a day on a boat with friends on Horn Island. The 18-year-old’s friends told investigators that Nolan did not leave the island with them and claimed Nolan planned to stay with a girl.

Investigators said they are considering Nolan’s death as a possible accidental drowning with no evidence of a crimeas his family and the public anxiously await answers about what really happened to Nolan Wells.
