The Key to Breakthrough – Determined Faith

The other day I bent my key. It wouldn’t fit in my front door. The door didn’t open. I had to unfold the key to insert the lock and open the door. It got me thinking about the power of a simple touch…

The right key opens the door.
A bad key won’t open the door.

Some of us may be using the wrong key on the right door. Others may be using the right key on the wrong door. Either way, the door won’t open.

This is why prayer leads us to the right key to open all the right doors.

Jesus tells us:

“Keep asking and you will receive what you ask for. Keep looking and you will find. Keep knocking and the door will be opened for you. (Mt. 7:7 NLT)

Keep asking.
Keep looking.
Keep hitting.

In the requestg, we will receive. Sometimes we receive the understanding of moving two doors to the left or right.

In researchwe will look. Often, research shows us what we originally wanted, but it’s not at all what we needed most.

In the momentour persistent hunger calls upon His hand to nourish us. He answers.

“So call on me when you are in trouble, and I will deliver you, and you will give me glory.” (Ps. 50:15)

Calling, with God, is not a one-time event and we give up. It looks like perseverance, being fervent and impatient.

“Persistence”
persistence
Merriam-Webster definition: “to continue resolutely or obstinately despite opposition, importunity, or warning”

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray And don’t give up.” – Luke 18:1

“Fervent”
fervent
Merriam-Webster definition: “exhibiting or marked by great intensity of feeling”

The efficient fervent the prayer of a righteous man is very effective. (James 5:16)

“To wait for”
to wait for
Merriam-Webster definition: “to be considered probable or certain”

“Wait and hope with confidence the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait and with confidence to wait for the Lord. » (Ps. 27:14)

We persist with great intensity and know the likelihood that our faithful God will appear! It is a key that opens the doors of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Prayer: Father, I want to have steadfastness and diligence to continue seeking you. I want to look for you and find you. I want to pursue you with all my heart, with all my soul and with all my strength. Give me the ability not to give up. Make my heart strong. Give me the gift of intercession that continues, continues. In the Name of Jesus.

Invitation for you: I’m hosting a one-day retreat in Charlotte on December 13th. If you would like more information, reply to this email. I would love to create a space and place for you to encounter God and find inner healing.
