Amid this speculation, insiders close to the actress revealed the reason for the wardrobe change, after years of Garner being known for her conservative style.
“Jennifer wants more prestigious movie roles; she loves working, so she thinks dressing a little sexier and showing the world that she’s still hot certainly can’t hurt,” a source told the Daily Mail.
According to our source, the actress also considers this change “a low-risk decision”, which does not indicate a complete change in her personality.

“She can look more seductive with sexier choices proving she’s still a movie star while still making her look tasteful,” the source added of the actress.

Jennifer Garner’s wardrobe change is likely influenced by her acting idols and close friend
Besides hoping her style change will help her land more roles, Garner is also said to be influenced by other actresses who wear similar outfits featuring less fabric.
“If her idols Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson wear next to nothing and look amazing in those outfits, maybe she should too,” the source added. “That’s what I think. Why not?”
The source also said Garner has “the body for it,” apparently referring to how the actress has donned very revealing outfits in past roles such as “Alias.”
Garner may also have been influenced by her best friend, actress Judy Greer, with whom she shared the screen on several occasions.
“Judy is always pushing Jen to live more, you know, to get out of the garden and put on an LBD,” the source said.

It’s unclear how long this Garner change will last, but when given the choice, the actress seems to prefer to dress up.
In a 2019 interview with People Magazineshe revealed that her favorite outfit was jeans and sneakers rather than dresses.
“Every time I go out of town, I take all the clothes I never wear because you look in your closet and you’re like, ‘I love this. Why don’t I wear that? It’s such a pretty dress,'” she shared at the time.
