The discovery was made after a social media account highlighting college decisions made by graduates of the Windward School in Los Angeles addressed Emme with a completely new name and pronouns.
The shocking change comes almost a year after Jennifer Lopez and the teen went viral for their striking resemblance in a photo.
Emme is now called ‘Oskar,’ graduation message confirms
Lopez is the mother of teenage twins, Emme Maribel Muñiz and Maximilian David Muñiz, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.
However, one of his children stunned fans after it was quietly revealed they had changed identities.
Emme, who was once known as the singer’s daughter, now goes by the name “Oskar Muñiz,” as seen in a recent Instagram post from an account linked to their Los Angeles high school.
The account used a new name and pronouns to talk about the college Emme will attend after she graduates.
“Oskar to Sarah Lawrence! No more impromptu trips to New York because he’ll be living there! Good thing it’s only a few hours from Stagedoor. Go griffons!! Congratulations!!” the message read.
It also featured a childhood photo of Emme smiling and linked to their private Instagram page, which appeared to have an image of Emme on the locked profile.
Fans were surprised and divided by the name change
Unsurprisingly, there was a mix of comments from people reacting to the discovery of Emme’s new identity.
“Oskar? I thought her name was Emme, and she’s a girl, not a boy!” asked one individual, while another responded: “Wow, a little confused here?” It must be a difficult life. »
However, many comments were very positive and praised their graduation.

Emme’s twin brother, Max, was also present at the ceremony. They were all seen smiling on the happy occasion, with Emme and Samuel at one point having a conversation, according to photos obtained by Page six.
Emme and Max’s father, Marc Anthony, was notably absent from the graduation ceremony.
Although it’s unclear why he didn’t show up, the musician revealed in January that he and his wife, Nadia Ferriera, were expecting their second child together, three years after welcoming a son.

Before Emme’s recent name change, the teen went viral after a photo of them and Lopez hit the internet, highlighting their resemblance.
The image was taken during the singer’s stay in the Hamptons during Lopez’s summer getaway following her split from Affleck.
It featured Lopez and Emme beaming with smiles in the backseat of a convertible, with the singer’s vocal coach, Stevie Mackey, in the front seat.
In the photo, Emme opted for a casual look with a blue plaid shirt and khaki shorts, while Lopez looked effortlessly chic in a crisp white button-down shirt.
At the time, the mother-child duo were flooded with sweet comments from fans commenting on how much alike they looked, with some even calling Emme a “carbon copy” of Lopez.
