Andy Cohen reacts to his much-discussed meeting with Karen Huger after his prison sentence

“The Real Housewives of Potomac“ star Karen Huger is now several months away from being released from prison after being convicted in February 2025 of drunk driving, her fourth drunk driving offense. His meeting with Andy Cohenfilmed in September 2025, is finally released. Now, after many “RHOP” fans questioned whether or not Huger took responsibility, Cohen shares his thoughts on the biggest takeaway from the interview.

Andy Cohen revealed the biggest sticking point in his interview with Karen Huger.

Cohen appeared on his SiriusXM radio show in February 2026 to discuss the heated reunion with Huger. In the clip, he highlighted a moment he found notable: when she revealed that she and her husband understood that their marriage might not continue.

Cohen recalls, “And I thought the other thing that was in the news was that she said she was deeply unhappy. She was unhappy in her marriage. And she also said, ‘This marriage might not work, and I’m OK with that.’

The “Watch What Happens Live” host continued, “And she said, ‘The person I am now is not the person I used to be, and that might not work for Ray.'” He added, “And I thought that was a really big statement for her to make.” His co-host then speculated that some addicts sometimes don’t seek help because they believe change can impact the people around them.

The ‘RHOP’ star made vulnerable comments about her marriage

During the interview, Huger discussed everything from the night of her car accident in 2024 to much of the trauma that led her to self-medicate. As Cohen said, one of the most emotional moments came when she discussed her marriage to Ray. She said during the chat, “I wasn’t happy here. Let’s be very clear: Ray and I were very honest about our marriage, and we were going through it. We still were.”

The Bravo star continued, “And I was very unhappy, and the kids were gone, and the house was a tomb, and I just wanted to escape that night. I wanted to escape the unhappiness. I was so unhappy.”

The interview between Cohen and Huger aired as part of an episode of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” on Sunday, February 1. After its premiere, many took to social media to react to what Huger, often referred to as La Grande Dame, had to say.

According to Fox 5 DC, Huger was released from prison on September 2, 2025, after serving approximately six months of her sentence. After her release, she remained relatively discreet. However, some of her “Real Housewives of Potomac” costars have heard from her.

By Bravo, Gizelle Bryant appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” in October, revealing that she had seen Huger. Bryant said: “She’s doing good. She looks good. She’s got like a cute little booty. She looks really good. But I really missed her, so I’m super happy she’s home.”

The beloved reality TV star will be at the reunion

Bravo released the “The Real Housewives of Potomac” Season 10 reunion trailer on January 30. It presents the main actors of the season: Stacey Rusch, Wendy Osefo, Ashley Darbyand Bryant. However, besides the friends of the show, Monica SamuelsAnd Jassi CurtainsHuger can also be seen.
