MGK fans stunned by what he did after his guitar caught fire

M.G.K. goes viral after turning an onstage pyrotechnic glitch into one of the craziest moments of his “Lost Americana” tour. During his June 2 stop at Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, North Carolina, the artist, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, had a real fiery moment performing “papercuts,” and instead of freaking out, he leaned in all the way. Videos from the concert quickly spread online after fans captured MGK reacting unexpectedly when his guitar caught fire mid-performance.

Like many performances on his “Lost Americana” tour, MGK ended “papercuts” with one of his signature pyrotechnic guitar moments. The rocker regularly uses three built-in pyrotechnic devices attached to his guitar during the song’s explosive finale. But this time, things didn’t go exactly as planned.

After the main burst of flames, one of the nozzles reportedly failed to close, leaving behind a small but very visible flame burning on the guitar. Rather than quickly shutting it down, MGK seemed to embrace the chaos.

In videos from the show, the singer could be seen playfully sticking his tongue to the flame before asking the camera to zoom in so he could take a closer look at his still-lit guitar on the venue’s giant screen. Naturally, the bizarre moment immediately sent fans into a frenzy online.

Fans couldn’t stop reacting to the fiery moment

As clips of the concert spread across social media, fans flooded the comments section with reactions ranging from amused to thirsty. “That smile and laugh is so pure and beautiful,” one fan wrote. “I can just hear his laugh in my head while he does this…..” another fan wrote.

Some fans seemed completely mesmerized by the moment, with one person admitting, “Is it bad that it turns me on,” while another joked, “Throw me into (that) damn flame.”

Meanwhile, others focused less on the fire and more on the overall concert experience. “I was there for this last night. What a great show!!! I love you COLSON!!” » commented one viewer, referring to MGK by his real first name, Colson.

Another fan thanked the rocker for the experience, writing: “Thank you mgk, wiz and Dewayne for making my sister’s first ever concert AMAZING!!! A moment was certainly had last night!!!!”

MGK and Yungblud’s friendship finally turned sour

While MGK may be making headlines for his fiery antics on tour, the rocker has also recently found himself in the spotlight for his rumored fallout with his former friend and collaborator Yungblud.

If fans have forgotten, MGK and Yungblud, real name Dominic Harrison, were once incredibly close and have collaborated many times over the years. Their friendship first blossomed in 2019 when they teamed up on “I Think I’m OKAY” from MGK’s “Hotel Diablo” album. But in 2024, fans began to speculate that things had slowly deteriorated between the two men.

Much of the discussion intensified after Yungblud’s appearance on the Osbourne Family Podcast, where Sharon and Kelly Osbourne openly criticized mgk. “Don’t get me started on that,” Sharon said, to which Yungblud simply replied, “Fair.”

Kelly Osbourne also accused MGK of copying Yungblud by incorporating pink into the aesthetic of his 2022 album “Mainstream Sellout.” Although Yungblud did not directly join the criticism, he also did not publicly defend MGK, which appears to have deeply affected the singer.

Speculation surrounding the broken friendship intensified again after fans theorized that mgk was referencing Yungblud in his April 2026 track “Fix Ur Face,” specifically the lyric: “Mickey Mouse’s kids became rockstars / Leaving private schools, I’m trying to be outlaws.” »

Many listeners interpreted the line as an attack on Yungblud, who previously starred in Disney Channel UK’s “The Lodge” before pursuing music and attending a private boarding school in England.

Last month, MGK confirmed on the “Garza Podcast” that the lyrics were indeed inspired by the fallout. “The song is three minutes of lines about different things. Yeah, the specific line, I mean, loyalty is really the only thing that matters,” MGK explained. “When I open my heart, it means I am vulnerable and I am letting you in.”

Apparently referring to Yungblud’s appearance on the Osbournes’ podcast, he added: “When someone has the opportunity to defend their friend, and they don’t, it breaks my heart. It breaks me. Be my friend the same way in public as you are in private. But that’s an angry line in an angry song.”

“That shit hurt me, and that’s it,” MGK continued, before adding of Yungblud: “[He’s] super talented and all that. But what matters to me above all else is that when the music is finished, it is: what do you stand for and what do you rely on? This principle of loyalty, the way it was done to me, I wouldn’t have done that. For me, it was just a moment where I saw something and was like, damn, that hurts.

MGK appears to have fought back on Yungblud Online

The drama picked up a few weeks later after Yungblud shared a video discussing the rising cost of live music and promoting his Bludfest festival, which aims to keep ticket prices low. MGK later appeared to hit back in a since-deleted comment, writing: “You canceled a tour because you couldn’t sell tickets, then blamed it on mental health, then got paparazzied at Nobu the next day, Pinocchio.” »

He added: “And your tour tickets are still the same price as every other artist. [laughing face emoji]. Shut up, you preachy, silver-spooning wanker.
