West Wilson Realizes Dating Reality, Says ‘Being Happy’ With Yourself Is Key to Companionship

While speaking with Elite Daily, Wilson — who first arrived in the Hamptons during Season 8 — noted that while New York has its perks, finding your soul mate in the city isn’t a top priority at the moment.
“I’m not the spokesperson for dating by any means, but I think being happy with yourself is really important,” he said. “Once you master that, a relationship is a plus.”
For Wilson, “needing” a relationship is like “filling a void” – something the 31-year-old hopes to avoid. “…needing to settle for being in a relationship is not the healthiest way to prioritize things in your life,” he said. “If you’re a happily single person, once that relationship happens, it’s just an added bonus on an already full cup.”

West Wilson explains why this women’s decision is so ‘exciting’ for him
Although no one knows if Wilson has a serious partner right now, the reality TV star admitted to making “a million” mistakes in the dating scene. He also said that he is “actively learning” as life goes on.
One thing he is sure of, however, is what behavior from a potential partner turns him on.
“It’s crazy, but complete your DoorDash order,” he said. “I’ll still pay, but if we order $90 worth of Chinese food, you have to go work with me. I think it’s exciting when girls are willing to fuck up the food. It’s awesome.”
Wilson added: “And it’s intimate – it’s not like a nice restaurant where everyone has to have good manners. You eat at a coffee table to the side of the sofa, with no rules.”

What has West Wilson learned about dating over the years?
Even though he may not be in an exclusive relationship, Wilson shared that his past experiences have shaped the way he treats the women he dates.
Specifically, Wilson said he’s been “devoted to giving flowers” lately. He explained that he was against giving flowers to romantic partners because they always die. “But every time you see someone get flowers or get a message from them, it means the world,” he said.
Overall, Wilson said people should do what feels right because “I think people overthink it.”

“But even if it doesn’t end up what you want, you’ll never regret showing someone you care. Stop worrying about what things might mean or if you’re overcomplicating things. If you’re thinking of someone, show them some love and send something to your mom while you’re at it too,” he added.

Wilson Teases ‘Wild’ Season of ‘Summer House’
Season 10 of “Summer House” has already started airing on Bravo, and based on the trailer, it looks like it’s going to be another explosive season of dramatic feuds and epic meltdowns.
Joining Wilson in the Hamptons are returnees Amanda Batula, Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, Ciara Miller, Carl Radke and Jesse Solomon. The veterans are joined by newcomers Mia Calabrese, KJ Dillard, Dara Levitan, Levi Sebree, Bailey Taylor and Ben Waddell.
Although Wilson had to keep most of the details under wraps, he promised that viewers were in for a “really fun and pretty wild season.”
“There’s also a lot of new people, so I encourage anyone watching the show to welcome them with open arms. They’re all fantastic and lovely, and they have my seal of approval. I hope other people enjoy them as much as I do,” he said.
What else is Wilson working on?
In addition to his time on “Summer House,” Wilson remains busy with other projects, including his collaboration with Captain Morgan.
In an exclusive interview with The Blast, Wilson detailed his new merch line, highlighting the chunky graphic tee and a stylish baseball cap.
The line is meant to be carried with “confidence, effortless swagger, and just enough edge to turn any game into a story worth telling.”
Of his work with them, Wilson said: “I’ve been lucky enough to work separately with Captain Morgan and Pirate Worldwide, so to see them come together and launch such incredible products is insane – I had to be a part of it. Both brands understand that style isn’t about trying too hard – it’s about feeling good about your people and creating memories along the way.

“This collection fits that perfectly. It has that vintage warmth and a bit of edge, like something you picked up on a nice weekend and never stopped wearing. The hat and t-shirt have made their way into my regular rotation,” he finished.
