Former Timothy Busfield Accusers May Testify at Child Sex Abuse Trial

Timothy BusfieldNew Mexico’s upcoming child sex abuse trial appears to feature some explosive testimony … as prosecutors report that several people who have accused Timothy of sexual assault in the past will be called as witnesses.

New legal documents obtained by TMZ show the initial witness list compiled by state prosecutors…and it includes four people who have previously accused the actor of sexual misconduct.

A witness claims that Timothy sexually assaulted her when she was 16 and auditioned for him at the B Street Theater in Sacramento, California. Prosecutors say his father will also testify. The theater, founded by Timothy, told us the alleged incident happened about 25 years ago.

As we reported … prosecutors say the girl reported that Timothy “kissed her, put his hands down her pants and touched her private parts.” They say Timothy “begged the family not to report to law enforcement if he was in therapy” … and his father, a therapist at the time, said he “thought it was the best thing to do.”

The other three witnesses are from alleged incidents that occurred in 2000, 1993 and 1991.

Another person on the witness list is a woman who claims she had an encounter with Timothy during which he was aggressive and made sexual comments.

Bernalillo County Prosecutor Sam Bregman charged Timothy last month with four counts of criminal sexual contact with a child. Busfield is accused of touching two young child actors – brothers aged 7 and 8 – on the set of “The Maid” on several occasions between November 2022 and spring 2024.

The “West Wing” star denied the allegations and claims the children’s parents are trying to get revenge after they were kicked off the show.
