A member of Jasmine CrockettCongressman security guard shot by police during standoff in Texas, says CBS News.

The violent confrontation took place in Dallas on Wednesday evening, when Mike King allegedly ran into a hospital parking lot, then barricaded himself in a vehicle while being chased by SWAT officers.

CBS reports that cops then pepper-sprayed King, prompting him to jump out of the vehicle and pull out a gun before he was shot and killed by police.

Law enforcement sources told CBS… King was wanted for impersonating law enforcement while running an online platform, Off Duty Police Services, that finds off-duty gigs for cops in North Texas.

Footage obtained by CBS shows King babysitting Crockett at events and traveling with the congresswoman during her latest campaign for a U.S. Senate seat in Texas. Crocket lost to James Talarico in the Democratic primary.

Sources also told the network… King drove around in a fake undercover police vehicle with license plates he had ripped off cars outside a military recruiting office.

CBS reviewed documents revealing that a man named Mike King was paid for “security services” by Crockett in 2025.
