PlayStation Plus is about to get several new free games, and if you’re looking to beat something in a single weekend, there’s an RPG you might want to check out. While we wait The April PS Plus range to be released next week, at least now we know which games are being added to the Essential tier this month.

The official PlayStation Blog revealed the new Essential games coming to PS Plus in April, and one of them is Sword Art Online: Fractured Reverie. Unless you’re a big guy SOA fan, you’ve probably never tried this one before, but now that it will soon be free with your PS Plus subscription, you can give it a try. You can also watch the trailer below.

This PlayStation Plus RPG is perfect for a weekend binge

Although Sword Art Online: Fractured Reverie received mixed reviews and user scores, and despite some PS Plus members are disappointed by its addition in April, it’s a fairly quick multiplayer RPG that you can have fun with. By no means will you complete the game in a single setting, but you can beat it in a single weekend if you really think about it.

It’s over How long to beatthe average for all playstyles is 20 hours. The main story lasts just over 17 hours, with Main + Sides taking an average of 21.5 hours. Finalists are able to pass through all stages Sword Art Online: Fractured Reverie in 26 hours.

If you have nothing else to do over a weekend, you can start on a Friday afternoon and finish everything before Monday morning. For the main story, you’re looking at less than 6 hours of gameplay per day.

Sometimes a short RPG is a great palette cleanser

Sword Art Online: Fractured Reverie It may not be a masterpiece, but many people enjoyed it. It’s rare to find an RPG where you can beat it without spending an entire month or more on it. Honestly, sometimes a shorter RPG is exactly the kind of reminder we all need. It’s like a palette cleanser between longer games.

I admit, I didn’t check Fractured reverie but I’m a fan of Sword Art Onlineso I can’t wait to try this one. It’s a shame that the new batch of PlayStation Plus games didn’t drop this week. The holiday weekend would have been the perfect time to play Sword Art Online: Fractured Reverie and these other new Essential titles. Instead, they will all be available on PS Plus on April 7.
