Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s relationship has been strained since the singer was dragged into the actress’ legal battle against Justin Baldoni, with several of their text messages coming to light.

Sources close to Swift say the “Blank Space” singer is breathing a sigh of relief after Lively suffered a major setback in her long-running legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
The two were once best friends, but apparently fell out after Swift was named in Lively’s ongoing legal battle with her “It Ends With Us” co-star, with their private conversation also revealing the singer allegedly called Baldoni a “bitch.”
Now that a federal judge has dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 complaints against Baldoni, sources tell Rob Shuter #ShutterScoop that Swift sees this as a welcome development and secretly hopes it’s the beginning of the end.
“It’s a huge relief,” a close source told the reporter. “This case has weakened considerably.”

Reports abound suggest that Lively has no intention of backing down despite the loss and wants to have her day in court.
After the judge dismissed most of his claims, he is left with three allegations left to prove, namely breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting retaliation, all of which will be the subject of a civil trial in New York on May 18.
However, reports suggest that Swift is questioning why she isn’t seeking to settle and believes the case shouldn’t have dragged on for so long.
“No one understands why Blake isn’t trying to settle down,” the source said. “From the outside, it looks like she’s already lost.”
The insider went further to explain that the Grammy winner wanted nothing to do with the affair as her summer wedding to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce approaches.
“She wants this to be over before her summer wedding,” they shared. “The timing couldn’t be worse.”

Last January, Swift’s private texts with Lively were unsealed, seemingly confirming Baldoni’s claims that the actress attempted to use her celebrity power and connections to pressure him into agreeing to changes she made to the “It Ends With Us” script.
In a text message exchange, Lively asked the “Bad Blood” singer to approve a script she had come up with for the film “even without having read it,” Baldoni’s legal team claimed, according to People Magazine. Swift then reportedly responded, “I’ll do anything for you!!”
However, Lively’s team said the text lacked context and pointed to her deposition in which the actress said she “sent the script to Taylor on her way to my apartment because Justin was still there, and I asked her to read them. I told her she didn’t have to, I didn’t want her to feel obligated to do that, but I hoped she would.”

In another text exchange that came to light, Lively called Baldoni a “clown” and an “idiot,” while Swift allegedly called him a “bitch.”
The source who spoke to Shuter explained that things have now changed between the former close friends because the fallout is real.
“Taylor had nothing to do with it. She was just supporting a friend, that’s all,” the source said. “It affected the people around Blake, and some feel she didn’t fully address it.”
“We have the feeling that it was not necessary to go this far,” they added. “That ego took over.”

Meanwhile, Swift would be hiding and watching how things go from here, because she doesn’t want to be involved in the case anymore, at least not until things are completely over.
A source told Shuter she was “watching everything” closely because “the last thing she wanted was for her name or texts to be involved again.”
Insiders have already called attention to the sour state of their relationship after it was revealed that the “Another Simple Favor” actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, would not be invited to Swift’s summer wedding to Kelce.
“They’re not invited. Period,” a source said. “Taylor wants a drama-free day and she doesn’t trust Blake or Ryan anymore.”
Another source shared at the time that Swift had long ago concluded not to invite the couple, adding that she felt “exposed and violated.”
