Lizzo is preparing to release a brand new album, “B-TCH”, scheduled for June 2026. However, after facing accusations from her dancers, the pop singer failed to match the commercial success of her previous albums. This includes dropping a previously planned album. Lizzo released her new single, “B-tch”

The music video is shot in black and white, featuring Lizzo with several dancers, all dressed in black. Notably, the song interpolates Meredith Brooks“1997 anthem of the same name.
X fans don’t like the song
Unfortunately for Lizzo, fans who responded to her X-rated post weren’t happy with the song, with some even mentioning her dancers’ allegations. One person said: “Girl, how many anthems are you going to release from your album? Weren’t you a rapper? I guess it was just for a prize.”
Someone else cited Nicki Minajwriting: “Hang up, flat screen. » They then included a GIF of someone doing just that. After that, another X user hinted at his string of failed singles, saying: “I must have run out of Velcro because uh… Nothing sticks.”
Another social media user said: “That sounds really cheesy, Lizzo. This I’m thing was everywhere in the Obama administration, and people hated it. Now are you heating it up?”
However, it seems fans on Instagram are a little more welcoming despite some criticism. One person said on the platform: “Welcome to the summit.”
Ahead of the new single’s release, Lizzo took to social media. Not only did the “Juice” singer celebrate her birthday, but she also shared her album art. She said in the caption: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! To celebrate, I present to you — MY NEW ALBUM [is] COMING JUNE 5. Do you want to give me a gift? Pre-order my album, baby!!!! Concerning the cover, it is one of the simplest in his discography. It shows, on a white background, a hand with long nails, with Lizzo’s position as the middle finger. She also has her arms outstretched in a celebratory pose.
According to Apple Music’s listing for the album, “B-TCH” will feature 12 tracks. This will be Lizzo’s third album released by Nice Life Recording Company/Atlantic.
The singer was supposed to release an album in 2025
Lizzo has announced plans to release a new studio album in early 2025. The first taste of the new project, a song called “Love in Real Life,” was released in February. The song failed to make a significant impact and she later released “Still Bad” in March of the same year. He enjoyed a little more commercial success but didn’t come close to becoming the radio hit the major record labels sought before releasing albums.
Then, in September, she spoke to New York Magazine, saying that even though the album was finished, she wasn’t sure whether to release it. According to Lizzo, “In 2025, I have changed, the world has changed so much and so much has happened.”
She said of the album: “It just wasn’t what I was feeling at the moment. I was like, ‘I have to do things differently, and I don’t know what it is, but I’m just going to start following my instincts.'”
Lizzo addressed public misconceptions about her
Lizzo appeared on “CBS Mornings” on May 1 to promote “B-TCH.” During the conversation with Gayle Kinghe was asked what people don’t understand about it. The Yitty founder said: “I think there’s a long list. I think I might be one of the most misunderstood.”
