Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship broke down after the latter and his wife quit their roles in the royal family in 2020 based on media bullying and racism within the royal family.
Prince William reportedly had little appetite for food before interview
In Kate Middleton’s latest biography, “Kate! The Courage, Grace and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen,” author Christopher Andersen had things to say about his husband being “literally worried sick” in the run-up to Harry and Meghan’s explosive meeting with Oprah Winfrey. According to Andersen, Middleton admitted that she could hear her husband vomiting in the bathroom for a full week before the interview aired.
The father of three was even “too distracted to think about food” because he wasn’t sure what his brother and sister-in-law might say to the press. Meghan and Harry ultimately said a lot in the interview, including Middleton’s heated argument with Meghan over a dress for Princess Charlotte for the wedding.
Harry also confirmed that he was not on good terms with his brother, as there was a lot of hurt between the two of them. As shared by Page Six, Harry and Meghan also revealed that some unnamed members of the royal family had raised concerns with Harry about the color of their unborn child’s skin and its implications for the monarchy.
The Prince of Wales wants Harry and Meghan to stop enjoying royal family privileges
In May, The Blast reported that palace sources said that while rumors of reconciliation between the estranged royals were rife, there were significant demands being made by Prince William.
According to the source, the Prince of Wales asked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to find a way to stop monetizing their royal status, especially since they haven’t done so for years.
Harry and Meghan’s recent trip to Australia also raised some alarms, as the optics really felt like they were trying to profit financially from the many business engagements that surfaced during the trip.
Harry and Megan took part in paid events and appeared on “MasterChef Australia” alongside paid appearances at a women’s retreat with ticket prices running into the thousands.
Prince William wants accountability from his former younger brother
The father of three has reportedly sidelined his brother for years now, posing a stumbling block on the path to reconciliation between them. According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, the Prince of Wales considers his little brother to be the least trustworthy person.
William himself is said to have zero tolerance for perceived betrayals, and his memory often serves him when it comes to remembering and retaining footage. In the words of British journalist and photographer Helena Chard:
“Prince William is known for taking a harder line than some. He is setting his agenda for the future of the monarchy. There is a difference between being ruthless and holding people to account. He is fearless and has a strong moral character.”
William apparently knows that loyalty cuts both ways, because betrayal has a very long shelf life, and all he wants is for Harry to hold himself accountable for future goals.
William claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex labeled his wife
The Blast shared that shortly after Meghan and Harry left their royal duties and started a new life in the United States, he leveled serious allegations against the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The Prince and Princess of Wales would never expect Prince Harry to end up with someone like Meghan, although they are big fans of his show “Suits.” Harry went on to say that Meghan’s famous status, including her successful career, threatened his family because there was a lot of stereotyping happening, and he was also guilty of this early in their relationship.
Harry added that Markle’s background as an American actress, divorcee and biracial woman may have influenced how some members of her family perceive her. He concluded that the stereotype permanently prevented them from introducing or welcoming him into the family as one of them.
Prince William and Kate Middleton want their own tour of Australia
After Harry and Meghan’s impressive visit to Australia, William and Kate are also quietly planning their official royal trip, dubbed a revenge tour. The royal couple are said to be very aware of the need to grant Australia a well-deserved royal visit, and it is their duty to make this happen.
The planned tour would mark William and Kate’s first official visit to the country in more than a decade, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will be there.
In 2025, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese extended an invitation to the future king during his visit to the United Kingdom. He had assured the royal family that they would always be welcome in Australia if they decided to plan a future tour.
