Tom Hardy was fired from “MobLand” and will not appear in the third season of the detective series due to his inappropriate attitude towards crew members.
The actor had similar consequences with Charlize Theron on the set of “Mad Max Fury,” where he arrived late to the set and got involved in several heated arguments with her.
Reports also recently suggested that Tom Hardy was taking a major career break to take a much-needed test and spend more time with his family.
Hardy was reportedly fired from “MobLand” following a series of intense altercations with the film’s producers. The latest development means he will not feature in future seasons as sources suggest he has become difficult to work with.
Hardy, who plays fixer Harry Da Souza alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, was also accused of arriving late to set and trying to change some lines during filming. He apparently pushed his luck further by offering unsolicited notes on the script, leaving the team members unsatisfied.
According to the Daily Mailsources claim he had become unhappy with the way the show was focusing more on his co-stars Mirren and Brosnan, as well as clashing with producer Jez Butterworth, who threatened him amid high tensions.
“I’m told that Paramount recently chose not to pick up Hardy for season three,” said a Puck newsletter.
He also noted that there were “clashes with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser, among others, during recent production of season two”, which led them to become fed up with him.
Although no third season has been officially announced, it is very unlikely that the series will end naturally with its second season, especially considering the massive success it has seen.

Hardy’s sudden firing comes about 11 years after his notoriously volatile behavior while filming the 2015 blockbuster “Mad Max: Fury Road” made global headlines.
At the time, reports suggested he had been involved in several arguments with co-star Charlize Theron, who accused him of arriving very late on set and called him a “fucking c-nt”.
New York Times columnist Kyle Buchanan claimed in “Blood, Sweat, and Chrome: The Wild and True Story of Mad Max: Fury Road” that Theron was “fearless” about her “aggressive” behavior and had to have a female producer be with her at all times for her “protection.”
Things were so bad that director George Miller later revealed he had to be “persuaded to get out of his trailer” to work, according to Variety.

Hardy later owned up to his bad behavior, admitting he should have done better in hindsight.
“Looking back, I was overwhelmed in many ways. The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times,” the actor told Buchanan of his run-in with Thereon. “What she needed was a better, perhaps more experienced, partner in me.”
He added: “It’s something that can’t be faked. I’d like to think that now that I’m older and uglier, I could rise to the occasion.”

It remains to be seen how much of an impact this latest setback will have on his career, but regardless, fans won’t see it for a while as it is understood he is taking a break to rest.
Over the years, Hardy has starred in hit action films like “Venom,” “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Taboo,” but the rigors seem to have taken their toll on him.
Sources told the Daily Mail that he “needs to take a sabbatical” and may be away for the foreseeable future.
Although they claimed the break was meant to allow him to rest, the Oscar-nominated actor had previously complained about the effect his strenuous roles had on him.

Reports of Hardy taking a break from acting came after he shared in an interview with Squire that his body was in bad condition.
“I’ve had two knee surgeries now, I have a herniated disc in my back, I also have sciatica… It’s all in pieces now, and it’s not going to get better,” the actor revealed.
Sources now say he is looking to spend more time with his wife, Charlotte Riley, and their two children, after devoting the majority of his later years to his craft.
“Tom is one of the busiest men in the movie industry,” a source said. “Charlotte must never see him, but now she won’t be able to get enough of him.”
