“The Real Housewives of Orange County” ancient Kelly Dodd is no stranger to controversy. However, the 50-year-old reality star is reportedly facing prison time following a revenge porn incident in 2025. Additionally, the “RHOC” alum is fighting a separate legal hurdle as she was also charged with battery last year.
The accusations against Dodd came months after a very public fallout with his daughter, including a leaked voicemail from the controversial figure.
Kelly Dodd is accused of recording and sharing material without consent
TMZ has obtained legal documents showing that “The Real Housewives of Orange County” alumna is accused of sharing images of a Jane Doe masturbating and having sex without her consent. Specifically, the accusation is that Dodd “unlawfully and intentionally” distributed the images on or about August 29, 2025.
Since the images were allegedly shared, prosecutors say the woman has been affected by severe emotional distress. Regarding the recording, Dodd allegedly took the footage at a time when the woman would have had a reasonable expectation of privacy.
Kelly accused of breaking deal with alleged victim
According to TMZ, court documents also show that Dodd had an agreement with Jane Doe. Although she saved the images, she had sworn not to share the images. However, around the time the deal was made, Dodd allegedly contacted the woman, threatening her, her family and her property.
That’s not all when it comes to Dodd’s legal situation. The “RHOC” alum is also facing a battery charge stemming from a June 2025 incident with another Jane Doe. Including the two situations from last year, she faces three misdemeanors and possible prison time.

Fans of Dodd and her time on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” are speaking out after learning of the accusations against her. Overall, many have real concerns about the Bravo alum, citing what they call erratic behavior on social media. However, many others call it karma.

For context, Dodd had been blocked by his daughter, so sending the voice note to his friend was his way of communicating with her.
She said in the leaked audio: “You just opened a can of worms, Jolie. I have recordings of you, yelling at your dad because he’s not taking you on vacation, yelling that he didn’t buy you a car. Remember those recordings that I saved? I have them, and I’m going to make them public. Do you understand?”

Dodd announced in June 2021 that she would not return to “The Real Housewives of Orange County” for its 16th season. She joined the hit Bravo show in 2016. According to PEOPLE, Dodd said on Twitter at the time, “The last five years have been an incredible experience. The next five years will be even better.”
