Nancy Macé I knew that pursuing the Epstein files could cause me to lose my approval… But I had to try!!!

Nancy Macé said she knew she was pursuing the famous Epstein The files could cost her dearly in the next election… but she still had to try.
The MP went to X on Friday to greet the president Donald Trump supported his opponent, the lieutenant governor. Pamela Evette in the race for governor of South Carolina… and, even though he’s not on her side, she didn’t directly attack POTUS.
Congresswoman Nancy Mace issued the following statement to South Carolina voters:
“I have tremendous respect for President Trump and all he has done for our country and for South Carolina. That respect is genuine and remains unchanged.
We have a corrupt state.… pic.twitter.com/tDYH7uVI7Z @NancyMace
She says she has immense respect for Trump… but adds that the state and the system are corrupt – and his choice for governor is part of that corruption.
Mace goes on to say that she will “drain the swamp” – a popular phrase from President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign – willfully oppose both political parties for the sake of South Carolinians.
Then, Mace launches into Epstein… writing, “I also know that I put the likelihood of an endorsement on the line when I demanded transparency on the Epstein files. I demanded it because you deserved the truth – ALL of it – and as a survivor, I needed to get justice for these women. If that’s the price of an endorsement, I will never pay it.”
Again, she doesn’t specifically invoke Trump’s name, but her meaning is clear… she took on the Epstein files – and it cost her his support. She shared a photo of her and Trump also smiling…with “MAGA MACE” written at the bottom.
ICYMI… Trump endorsed Lt. Governor Evette on Truth Social Friday – hours after Mace told people he would not endorse her competition under any circumstances.
Mace’s campaign could be in trouble… President Trump’s endorsements have typically led candidates to antagonize their opponents — and Mace is already behind several other candidates, including Evette.
