Brandi Glanville opens with another painful chapter in her breakup with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian. The old “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” The star recently claimed she had to spend more than $10,000 on legal fees just to get her own retirement money back after their divorce, alleging the process took nearly a year. Glanville made the revelation during a recent episode of her podcast, “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered,” while reflecting on the financial complications that followed her highly publicized split from the actor.
Brandi Glanville says Eddie Cibrian fought her over $401k

According to Glanville, tensions escalated when she tried to reclaim her 401K during divorce proceedings. On her podcast, the reality star claimed she “had to hire a lawyer to get my own 401K back” from Cibrian, whom she divorced in 2010 after eight years of marriage.
Glanville alleged that the “Sunset Beach” actor was “trying to keep it” and claimed he made the process much harder than expected. Speaking to co-host James Maas, Glanville said the ordeal cost him more than $10,000 and took nearly a year to resolve. “He told me to find a lawyer, and that’s what I did,” Glanville said.
The reality star explained that she ultimately had to obtain a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO), a legal procedure used to determine how retirement accounts, pensions and 401Ks are divided during a divorce.
Glanville says other ‘housewives’ should learn from her experience
Glanville also suggested she could soon face another legal dispute, hinting at an ongoing problem that she said might require hiring a lawyer. “I’m going to have to get a lawyer to fight it, which is so ridiculous. I don’t want that for anyone,” she said.
The Bravo alum used her own experience as a warning to other Housewives navigating their relationships and finances. “It goes back to the housewives, they’re all getting divorced and half of them don’t even have a 401K,” Glanville said. “Get your things together, ladies. Know where the money is,” she added.
Glanville shares two sons with Cibrian: Mason, 23, and Jake, 19.
Eddie Cibrian left Brandi Glanville after affair with LeAnn Rimes
Glanville and Cibrian’s split made headlines after the actor began a relationship with singer-actress LeAnn Rimes following their affair on the set of the 2009 film “Northern Lights.” Cibrian later married Rimes in April 2011.
Years after the breakup, Glanville reflected on the discovery of the affair in a 2021 opinion piece, admitting that the discovery was devastating. “There was video footage of them kissing on the table,” Glanville wrote at the time. “It was devastating. I went straight home, passed out in my closet, cried and cried.”
“He tried to convince me it wasn’t real, but I knew it was over,” she continued. “They were sucking their fingers in the footage, but he was telling me nothing was happening.”
Brandi Glanville says she always suspected something was wrong
Looking back, Glanville admitted that she had long suspected something was going on between Cibrian and her co-stars. “I would sometimes visit him on set and notice chemistry with some co-stars,” she wrote. “I would ask him if something had happened, but he would tell me I was crazy. He would say I was jealous and that he loved me. Then I would think it was my fault, that I was really crazy, but in my gut I knew I was probably right.”
Despite everything that happened, Glanville previously admitted that the breakup shattered plans she once thought would last forever. “Eddie and I were together for 13 years and married for eight,” she wrote. “We always promised each other that we would never divorce and that we would love each other when we grew old.”
Brandi Glanville says her facial parasite has returned
Glanville also continued to battle an ongoing health issue that she said remains unresolved. During the same episode of her podcast, the former reality TV star revealed that the facial parasite problem she previously thought had improved, seemingly returned. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, guys,” Glanville admitted. “I thought I was fixed, then it happened again, and now it’s sinking in again.”
The 53-year-old expressed frustration over her continued search for answers, explaining that despite countless specialists, she still had no clear diagnosis or long-term solution. “If I had answers, I’d tell you. I’ve been to a million doctors,” Glanville said.
According to Glanville, the only things that seem to provide relief are sunlight, antiparasitic medications and sticking to a strict diet. “The only thing that really seems to help is getting out in the sun, taking anti-parasite medication and following an anti-parasitic diet,” she explained. “And I don’t have any answers. Is there a doctor who specializes in parasites? Because I can’t find one.”
