Few games in The Legend of Zelda the series were received with as much enthusiasm as Twilight Princessas fans finally got the gritty, gritty entrance they’ve been waiting for. It remains a real highlight for many in the community, and as the franchise celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, thoughts have once again returned to the older versions.
Much of this has been confirmation of the Ocarina of time remakescheduled to launch later this year, bringing back one of the most popular games of all time in an entirely new form. As with all of these things, though, sheer excitement sparks conversations about what else might happen, but fans can’t really decide on the best approach to Twilight Princess‘ back.
On Reddit, a user common translates rumors from leaker Nash Weedle, in which he claimed that there could well be a “new” version of Twilight Princess is heading to the Switch 2. The full breakdown of what Weedle said reads:
“Zelda: Twilight Princess (until not too long ago) I hadn’t heard of it, but it looks like a new version might be coming at some point. I already said a while ago that I didn’t expect it either Wind alarm clock Or Twilight Princess if they couldn’t fit something more into it, and now with the Switch 2, they can. For Twilight Princess, strong rumors have reached me, but for Wind Waker, he appears to have been left in limbo. »
It’s a very interesting prospect, and fans were eager to share their thoughts on what exactly that might look like and whether they think the game is necessary for a return.
“Wind alarm clock And TP-HD are “icebreaker” ports when the neighborhood looks terrible. And they will be on Switch 1″, a comment read.
“Reading it like this, I don’t know why, but I saw in it a WW/TP double pack next year before Zelda movie. Just like the Galaxy 1+2 double pack before Mario Galaxy film”, another added.
While a third said“A fall Ocarina and a late spring TP to close the 40th anniversary of Zelda makes sense. Since Nintendo doesn’t exactly celebrate the calendar year, it seems that with the Mario 40th and Zelda 40th. Whatever happened to HD WW And TP ports to the Switch? »
Everything Nintendo has planned Twilight PrincessGoing forward, it would make perfect business sense to release a version for the Switch 2 when excitement around the franchise is so high. Of course, tying it to the movie release could also work well, but there are all sorts of projects they could reasonably implement this year.
