Dana White Conor McGregor has a long road back to the ring… If he even wants to come back

Dana White said Conor McGregor will have to undergo surgery and extensive physical therapy because of his knee injury… which will at least give him time to think about his future.
We caught up with the UFC Chairman and CEO at Fanatics Fest 2026 in New York on Saturday…and we had to ask him about Conor’s recent TKO loss to Max Holloway after a knee injury ended the fight.

Dana says he spoke to Conor recently… and the fighter is visibly sad and frustrated with how his comeback ended.
Conor has to go through a long recovery to heal his knee, Dana says…and he thinks some of that time needs to be spent on Conor looking inward – and determining if he wants to return to combat sports.
While Dana doesn’t seem sure if Conor will make a comeback, Conor is already talking about it…saying he wants to do it. fight Holloway again in a rematch.
