During a performance at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Clarkson offered fans a candid perspective on remaining single. Responding to the public’s constant curiosity about her love life, the talk show host joked that witnessing other couples’ struggles often made her enjoy going home alone.

“People are like, Oh, why are you single? And I’m like, ‘First of all, there are a lot of people here who make single people look really good,'” she said.

Clarkson defended his current life choices to the public, emphasizing that maintaining a successful partnership requires constant effort. “If you’re in a relationship, the hardest thing, I think, is just keeping that fire alive and continuing to date…and, like, always making it magical and not monotonous,” she added, according to Page Six.

Notably, the 44-year-old entertainer has maintained a low-key personal life after finalizing her divorce from her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in 2022, with whom she shares two children.

Blackstock sadly passed away in August 2025 following a battle with melanoma.

Following the death of her ex-husband, Blackstock, reports indicate that the “Stronger” singer’s main priority remains providing for her two young children. Although she strives to balance her professional commitments with her family life, insiders share that she maintains a very close-knit inner circle.

The Blast reported that sources note that while Clarkson remains open to finding love again when the time comes, introducing a new partner into her family’s routine is not currently on the horizon.

Additionally, she has no plans to walk down the aisle again, often joking that she never wanted to get married the first time.

Clarkson’s decision to focus on her children while remaining open to finding love again coincides with her decision to step away from her daytime talk show.

A few weeks ago, she opened up about her decision to end her popular daytime show after seven successful seasons. The singer clarified that stepping away from the talk show was a conscious choice, made on her own terms, to focus on her family life, according to The Blast.

Clarkson acknowledged that the change in family dynamics following the death of her ex-husband changed her perspective on what matters most. This change essentially made her realize that life is precious, pushing her to take on more of her role as a mother.

The entertainer reassured her fans that stepping away from daytime television doesn’t mean she’s walking away from her career entirely. She explained that she still had several professional commitments and projects, but felt it necessary to reduce her overall workload.

As Clarkson’s show prepares to wrap up its final season, pop icon Pink appeared as a special guest to kick off Women’s History Month in early March.

The Blast reported that to mark the occasion, the show’s official social media accounts offered fans a glimpse of the singer arriving on set, wearing a sparkling silver bodysuit and holding a host’s clipboard.

The temporary takeover was revealed in a playful video featuring the two longtime friends sharing an embrace on stage. While the announcement sparked excitement among fans hoping to see Pink move to daytime television for good, her appearance was planned as a week-long special event.

Even though the “Kelly Clarkson” show is coming to an end, Clarkson has continued to invest her energy into connecting with fans during her Las Vegas residency.

During a recent broadcast at Caesars Palace, the talk show host shared a humorous and overly detailed story about a difficult experience in a hotel bathroom. She prefaced it by saying, “It’s TMI, but I’m going to go ahead and say it,” according to The Blast.

Wondering aloud if she had contracted a generalized food infection, she clarified that it had not been officially diagnosed.

The musician recounted the physical aftermath of the ordeal after returning to her hotel room, lightheartedly comparing her situation to the iconic food poisoning sequence in the comedy film “Bridesmaids.”

Laughing about the experience, Clarkson joked that she was happy to be single at the time, as no potential partner would want to witness such an ordeal.
