There’s a surprising twist in the ‘TODAY’ host’s kidnapping Savannah Guthriethe mother of Nancy … his son-in-law could be the main suspect, according to Ashley Banfield.
Banfield – the host of Banfield on NewsNation – reported Tuesday evening… Thomas Cioni – was identified by police as the possible suspect in this case, citing a police source.
Veteran journalist says Cioni is married to Savannah’s sister Annie — and the two were the last people to see Nancy on Saturday night. As you know, Nancy’s family called the police on Sunday after learning that she did not show up to her usual Sunday church service.
Today, Banfield says investigators towed the car of Annie, who has “some connection” to Cioni, 50. Banfield adds that all the cameras in Nancy’s house in Tucson, Arizona, were destroyed.

Earlier Tuesday, NewsNation released a video showing a trail of blood leading to the steps of Nancy’s house. The Los Angeles Times also reports that blood belonging to Nancy was found at the crime scene.
TMZ received a purported ransom note from one or more strangers who demanded payment in exchange for Nancy’s release. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI are investigating whether the note is authentic.
