Former Vice-Captain Buttler, 31, took over from Eoin Morgan last week after the 50-year-old World Cup-winning skipper retired from international cricket.

His first series in charge is three Twenty20 internationals against India, starting in the Ageas Bowl on Thursday.

"There's not a lot that needs to change right now," Buttler told BBC Sport.

"I see the game in exactly the same way as Eoin."

Buttler will work alongside new Australian head coach Matthew Mott, with the pair looking to build a capable team. ble to win this year's T20 World Cup in Australia and defend the 50+ World Cup in India in October 2023.

England were beaten by New Zealand in the semi-finals of last year's T20 World Cup, which were won by Australia.

"I want us to play exactly the same way - to be really positive, really aggressive and not afraid of the 'failure,' wicketkeeper Buttler added.

"There is a clear identity that will survive Eoin, to outlive me and outlive the one who succeeds me as well.

"I don't see that ever in back I see people just trying to go even further."

After a dismal 2015 World Cup, England took an aggressive approach under Morgan that led them to the 2019 title and broke the one-day international record three times, mo er recently hitting 498 -6 against the Netherlands last month.
