“Real Housewives of Atlanta” Alumna Kandi Burrus recently opened up about co-parenting with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Todd Tucker.
Speaking to Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones on a recent episode of “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle,” the reality TV star and Grammy winner emphasized that making her split from Tucker as easy as possible was her main concern.
Prior to these remarks, Kandi Burruss made headlines after accusing Tucker of failing to pay for their shared family home or the expenses of their two minor children in a shocking court filing.

According to Burruss, she and Tucker, who married in 2014 in front of Bravo cameras, are doing what they can to make their separation easier for their children. “We have determined that no matter what happens, we will always be great co-parents to our children,” she said on “Today.”
“So that means that, you know, we sometimes go on vacation together because we’re still a family, even though he and I decided to separate,” she added. “And we try to make it as easy as possible for our kids.”

Burruss spent the holidays with Tucker and his children

Indeed, Burruss sparked the conversation weeks ago when she announced that she and Tucker would be spending Christmas together on a recent show. “Even though we have all this mess right now, we’re still going to do this together for our kids,” she said. “So we’re spending Christmas in New York.”
In a later post, Tucker shared an image of himself, Burruss and their children, Ace and Blaze, celebrating the new year together. “Here’s my first PLAN of 2026! Create and enjoy family time. The Tuckers,” he captioned the photo carousel.

Kandi Burruss Announces Plans to Divorce Tucker at BravoCon 2025

According to a report from The Blast, Burruss revealed her plans to split from Tucker in an interview after BravoCon 2025. In her statement, Burruss said she made the decision after a lot of “thought…and prayer” before revealing she would focus on herself and her children.
“I am entering a new chapter regarding my work, my family and my own growth. I am grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years and I ask for privacy, grace and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family,” she said.

Burruss and Tucker battle in dramatic court cases

Since their filing, Tucker and Burruss have been the subject of intense speculation following their back-and-forths in court, which have generated numerous opinions. In a new filing, Burruss accused Tucker of failing to pay their children’s “significant monthly expenses,” including “nanny, tuition, extracurricular activities, birthday parties, medical bills, travel and daily needs.”
In another section of the filing, Burruss claimed Tucker failed to provide appropriate support for their children, accusing him of traveling outside the United States several times for vacations. Additionally, Burruss accused Tucker of failing to pay the mortgage on their home or their shared expenses.

Notably, Tucker filed his own paperwork weeks before Burruss’ recent filing, seeking primary physical custody of their children and seeking to void their prenuptial agreement.
Despite his claims, Burruss said in his January 2026 filing: “Tucker does not exercise meaningful parenting time with the minor children despite the façade of his two to three minute social media videos chronicling his ‘dad daycare’ on his social media platforms.”

Before her appearance on NBC’s “Today” show, Burruss flaunted her flashy white jumpsuit in a photo gallery.
In addition to her corset and pearly white pants, Burruss stepped out in a Furry God Mother Custom Fur jacket, Schutz heels and Laruicci earrings.
“Apply PRESSURE throughout 2026!” she captioned the snap, which caught the attention of many, including her “RHOA” co-stars Kenya Moore, who wrote, “And that’s indeed pressure,” and Cynthia Bailey, who commented, “You look amazing.” »
In another recent Instagram post, Burruss showed off her new body, explaining that she’s putting a lot of effort into her fitness journey and noticing the benefits.

“Between the matinee and our evening show, without my wig and looking good at me,” she shared. “When I started [& Juliet]I weighed about 161 pounds. Now I’m at 145 in less than 2 months. No diet medications. Just a little stress…and then I changed my diet, my prayer, my fasting and my work on myself. I have to continue like this! I’m going to be the best version of myself!”
