Last Friday (January 16), industry insider and X/Twitter user AlexFromCC informed his followers that his arrival “could be imminent” as Sony prepares to launch its promotional campaign for the Marvel film Phase 6.

Before you get excited, dear webheads, a little context is necessary.
When it comes to leaks, AlexFromCC’s track record is mixed, to say the least. Plus, the vague details in their latest post — phrases like “no date yet, as far as I know” and “time will tell” — could be considered get-out-of-jail-free cards if what they’ve heard about an inaugural teaser for Spider-Man 4 does not come true.
I reached out to Sony for comment on the trailer rumor but, at the time of publication, had not received a response. I will update this article if I have a response.
When could the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer be released?
If we take AlexFromCC’s leak at face value, and buy into the hype it’s generating among Spider-Man fans, it could drop as soon as today (Monday, January 19).
A quick look at r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers and r/Spiderman reveals threads filled with comments from Marvel fans suggesting it could air during the 2026 College Football Playoff national championship game. The game, which sees the Indiana Hoosiers take on the Miami Hurricanes, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT.
Once again, I want to point out that there is no confirmation that the first official footage from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film will be screened at this event. So why are fans increasingly convinced that this will be the case? Two words: Avengers: Apocalypse.
