Kenya Moore rules out Bravo return citing ‘legal’ reasons

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore says she won’t be part of Bravo’s plans to celebrate the legendary franchise’s 20th anniversary due to “legal” reasons.

“For the moment, no,” she said, citing “legal” elements. “It has nothing to do with whether or not they thought I was a legendary housewife.”

“Yes, that’s a whole other legal issue that I think the powers that be are weighing in on right now,” she added.

While it’s unclear what the “legal” issues surrounding Moore are, the reality TV veteran was involved in a complicated situation that led to her being removed from the full-time cast of “RHOA” Season 16 currently in production.

According to previous reports from The Blast, Moore was disciplined by Bravo producers after the mother of one showed compromising photos of former “RHOA” cast member Brit Eady during an event while filming.

A few months later, Eady filed a lawsuit against Bravo, NBC and the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” production companies, alleging defamation, emotional distress, sexual harassment and a hostile work environment, according to PEOPLE.

“Defendants willfully, intentionally, recklessly and/or grossly negligently produced, edited and aired an episode of RHOA on April 6, 2025, which included footage of certain statements by the actor in question as well as comments from other actors describing the photographs displayed,” the lawsuit states.

Although Moore won’t be part of the upcoming “Ultimate Girls Trip” spinoff, more than 60 other Housewives will make appearances when the main cast, including Porsha Williams, Vicki Gunvalson, Teresa Giudice, Kyle Richards, Lisa Barlow, Gizelle Bryant and LuAnn de Lesseps, makes stops in major Housewives cities, including Atlanta, Beverly Hills and the Berkshires.

Moore also broke her silence on Bravo’s casting choices for “RHUGT,” saying the network “missed the mark” because the main cast includes all of the OGs except for Atlanta’s portrayal. According to Moore, choosing OG staples like NeNe Leakes or Shereé Whitfield instead of Williams would have been the better choice.

Moore’s criticism of the show’s main cast comes days after Bravo and Leakes confirmed the Atlanta veteran would return to the network after years away from the cameras. Leakes’ return to the franchise is a major surprise, since the “Glee” alum previously sued the network in 2022, alleging discrimination.

Leakes’ return caused a wave of excitement among Bravo fans, including Andy Cohen, who said he was “very happy” about Leakes returning to the franchise.
