As a fitness writer, even bad winter weather can

It’s mid-February. It’s cold and wet across most of the United States, and I feel especially reluctant to put on my running shoes and get out into the fresh air, or even to the gym. Last year I was in the same situation – it was cold and dark – but I didn’t even have a gym membership, having moved and moving from gym to gym.

As someone who, like a golden retriever, needs a certain amount of exercise once a day, how did I do it? By equipping myself to do better workouts at home, of course, by using commercial events (like the current Presidents’ Day sales) to do it at a lower cost.
