Quincy Jones plans to serve as executor of his late father’s estate, according to a new court document… this after his sister Rachida and his uncle Richard Jones refused it.
According to Friday’s filing, Jones named Richard Jones as his first choice as executor… but Richard decided he didn’t want to do it.

His second choice was either Quincy III or Rashida…and, ultimately, Quincy III moved forward while Rashida took a step back.
The next court date is scheduled for May 11.
As you know… Quincy died in 2024 at the age of 91 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Rachida paid tribute to his late father shortly after his death… calling him a “genius” in his heartfelt message.
Jones Manor hit Los Angeles real estate marketed for $60 million last spring…and, even though the price was reduced to $40 million, it still hasn’t sold.
