It’s a testimony if your career starts with Lord of the Rings and it gets even dumber from there. New Zealand actor Karl Urban has embarked on concerts in Star TrekJudge Dredd, The boys and in a short time Johnny Cage in Mortal Combat. But there’s one more feather Urban would like to have in his cap. This is a video game character whose cap is already decorated with a feather: John Marston.
In an interview with square mile magazine, the actor said that if he had the choice of a video game adaptation, it would be like John Marston in Red Dead Redemption. “I would love to play this character” Urban said.. “Dead red is a fantastic game. It’s interesting because I haven’t really had the opportunity to get that involved in gaming culture… when I had the rare opportunity, Dead red It was definitely one of the games that spoke to me.
It goes without saying that Urban wants to play in a Red Dead Redemption the film doesn’t mean an adaptation of the 2010 classic is in the works. In fact, Rockstar appears to be one of the few major developers not to continue cross-media expansion (although they may have their hands full of Grand Theft Auto VI). Yet stranger things have happened than making a little wish. Kirsten Dunst was recently added to the cast of Minecraft 2 after saying Town and country it was her dream role a year ago. Even if it’s because she wanted to “make a film where I don’t lose money.”
The last season of The boys started earlier this week. Urban will also wear Johnny Cage’s glasses in Mortal Kombat II when it comes out in May. He said square mile a slightly more humble interpretation of the character is to be expected, if only because Cage is left with a deflated ego. “He’s a man the world has forgotten,” Urban said. “For me, it was a really fertile ground to launch the character into. It gives me somewhere to go as an actor.”
