Big changes with “The White Lotus” just a few days after filming… Helena Bonham Carter is OUT!!!
TMZ has confirmed Helena’s departure from the series, which just began filming about a week ago in France, and her role will be rewritten and recast.
In a statement, an HBO representative told TMZ… “As filming for the fourth season of The White Lotus had just begun, it became clear that the character who Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter didn’t line up on set once.
“The role was subsequently reimagined, is being rewritten and will be recast in the coming weeks. HBO, the producers and Mike White are saddened to not be able to work with her, but remain ardent fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon.”
It’s unclear who is on the shortlist to replace Helena.
She was a big name added to the Season 4 cast… but there are still other big names… including Kumail Nanjiani, Steve Coogan, Vincent Cassel, Ari Graynor, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, Heather GrahamAnd Rosie Pérez.
