Connacht Rugby 2026/27 Season Preview: Can Lancaster men become real contenders?

There is a different feeling around Connacht heading into the 2026/27 season.

Then the key becomes stealing results against Leinster, Munster, Ulster, Stormers and Lions. If Connacht manage to win even three of these five biggest home games, they will suddenly push well beyond the playoff line.

This team is too talented and too experienced to sneak into eighth place again.
