“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always been drawn to the musical side of everything: theme songs from shows and movies, pro wrestling entrance songs, and video game soundtracks, of course. Music enhances visual and interactive media, but the reverse is also true, and I unfortunately never have the luxury of working with other creatives. The universe seems to cross hurdles so that all roads lead to doing everything yourself, which is how I ended up as a producer and musician. I ended up teaching myself how to play instruments, mix and master, and be a photographer and video editor. I wasn’t going to rely on Konami or Nintendo to pick me up, so I added game developer to the list.
These are the powerful words of artist I Am Kassandra for Social Lifestyle Magazine. It’s an honor to learn more from the artist, who describes his musical style:
“As a listener, my musical preferences have always been all over the place, and it’s pretty much the same as an artist. When I was ‘daxelin’, you could hear a sort of genre shift from album to album. The future of I AM KASSANDRA’s musical style is going to become very difficult to describe, but for this album, being a gaming experience, the shift happens almost from track to track.”
When asked if any songs or moments from this release’s soundtrack feel particularly meaningful, whether creatively, emotionally, or in relation to the game itself, the artist shares:
“‘A Song’ and ‘RAGE QUIT!!!’ were in the early stages of writing long before this album was even an idea. I was at a bit of a breaking point, and my existential obsession with science and my attempt to truly understand the universe was beginning. ‘A Song’ was a song, ‘RAGE QUIT!!!’ was a poem, and it all followed the first line: “Sometimes when I wake up I wish I never did it.” “That ended up being just a part of the song, and it kind of morphed into this “final boss” type concept, where you reach the end of reality.
“When it came time to create a scene for this in the game, it evolved into this idea of ‘what if’. What if people saw UFOs? What if people were abducted? But what if the ‘aliens’ were actually people, conducting experiments and surveillance right above everyone’s heads, while making them believe that they are something else entirely? The concept helped call the song back a bit, which is what it needed. The original poem was much darker and I would never have shared it.
Drawing from a deep well of nostalgia and ambition, the artist reflects on the roots of the project and the impact he hopes it will leave behind:
“As I said, I was a huge fan of video game soundtracks – Donkey Kong Country, EarthBound, Street Fighter II – and how each fighter had such a memorable stage song. I would love for EVERYTHING IS ERROR to resonate with audiences at large, but this project brought me full circle, whether it went viral or not. I had a lot of fun and frustration creating this game, but it’s actually now available on iOS and Android, and I had no idea what I was doing less than six months before its release. Even if you don’t like the game or the soundtrack, I hope you can get something out of it.
But if this chapter was about arrival, the rest is about reinvention. Turning the page, the artist does not hold back when it comes to the future, collaborations and a creative shift that is as personal as it is uncompromising:
“I think I got upset earlier about my lack of collaborations haha, I want to see my inbox flooded with all the LA creatives after this! Honestly, as excited as I am that this project is finished, I’m just as excited that it’s behind me. This album was a collection of work spanning three years. Three years ago, “a song” was released as “Song” under daxelin (now removed from streaming). To be frank, some of them seem dated because where I am as a person and then as an artist. However experimental this album may (or may not) seem to an audience, I still think about the audience, I think we all do, to some extent, even if we think we won’t in the future 11:11. politicians, instigating puppeteers and their angry puppets, and all the things that keep the average human distracted from their own existence perhaps presented in different words, I will create, and decide if it is appropriate to have an average human audience, pretending, afterwards.
To conclude, artist I am Kassandra reflects on the unexpected evolution of the project, revealing how a simple idea quickly transformed into something much more ambitious:
IT’S ALL WRONG didn’t start out as a game, but it became one through expansion and experimentation.
“It was initially released in November 2025,” explains the artist. “After that, I wanted to make music videos that looked like game scenes. So I taught myself coding. Then animation. Then character design. And then everything else.”
This process quickly escalated into a full-scale reinvention.
“I ended up removing the album, rebuilding it, and reworking everything to work as both a soundtrack and a playable experience. By April 2026, the game and album were finished and released together.”
