Legendary actor from “Jaws” Richard Dreyfuss ended his appearance in Southern California to reunite with his fellow cast members — and why he’s leaving is a mystery.
Dreyfuss posted a message on Instagram Friday, explaining that he was grateful for all the “love and excitement” he was feeling ahead of his appearance at The Hollywood Show, a convention scheduled for May 29-30. But, due to circumstances beyond his control, Dreyfuss will not be able to go there in person.

The actor didn’t give a specific reason why he wouldn’t show up… but he encouraged the billions of “Jaws” fans to give the rest of the cast “the warmest welcome and all the love they deserve!”
Dreyfuss also thanked the creators, organizers and keepers of the legacy of “Jaws” and promised to be present at the event in spirit.

Event organizers wrote on Facebook that they were saddened that Dreyfuss couldn’t attend the celebrity meet-and-greet… saying Richard was “extremely disappointed” and sincerely apologized to his fans.
Actors from the original film expected to attend include… Carl Gottlieb, Ted Grossman, Carla Hogendyk, Jeffrey Voorhees, Jonathan Searle and more.
Hopefully Richard will be back in action soon! The other two stars of the 1975 horror film: Roy Scheider And Robert Shaw — died years ago.
