You can access several new features while watching the tournament.

Fans ready to watch 2026 FIFA World Cup — arguably the biggest televised sporting event of the summer — have plenty of ways to watch the tournament from home. Xfinity offers its customers a range of FIFA-ready features, access to Fox One and the ability to watch games in English and Spanish, Comcast announced Tuesday. The football event will take place from June 11 to July 19, with over 104 matches and 48 teams from around the world.
Are you a Xumo Stream Box customer? You can now use the Fox One appwhich is the streaming platform broadcasting all World Cup matches. The service is now integrated with Xumo, but you’ll still need a paid subscription to watch it.
For Xfinity If you saw all the Winter Olympic events last February, you may already be familiar with X1’s RealTime 4K technology, Fan View, AI-powered DVR, and customizable DIY Multiview streams.
CNET reviewed a demo of the World Cup setup, noting that all of these features are available during the tournament and that in addition, Spanish and English voice commands that invoke FIFA-related content are integrated into the experience. Say “Copa Mundial” with your voice remote, call out a team name like “World Cup Argentina” or say other phrases to find what you want. You can even open Peacock with a voice command to stream its Telemundo matches in Spanish.
Xfinity clips – vertical videos – will be available in Spanish.
Comcast/XfinityAll 104 World Cup matches will be broadcast in real-time 4K in English, as well as a Spanish-language game of the day selected by Telemundo. The platform’s 4K stream during the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics was only “17 seconds behind the action on the field,” said Kelly Wright, Comcast’s director of sports products and strategy.
Thanks to the AI-assisted DVR function, playback will include scored highlights such as saves, goals and penalties. Multiview is customizable and allows you to zoom in on a single screen, switch audio between streams, or rotate the screen you want to magnify. And if you also have an Apple TV subscription, you can add live F1 races to your stream on four screens if you want, while simultaneously streaming FIFA matches or any other live sporting events. A fifth panel on the right shows you up-to-date sports statistics. The Fan View feature not only lets you track stats and standings, but also lets you configure it to follow different countries during the World Cup or take a shortcut to Xfinity’s clips feature.
Choose your own multi-view streams, whether it’s a World Cup match or another live sporting event.
Comcast/XfinityTo help reduce potential problems, Comcast plans to launch what’s called Smart Boost Wi-Fi, a new feature that lets Internet customers prioritize where the Wi-Fi juice is flowing. If you have multiple connected devices (smart TVs, game consoles, phones, computers, etc.), you can select where to give extra boost to the signal.
“It takes the Wi-Fi device you’re watching the game on – in 4K real-time – and it says, ‘press OK for the smoothest Wi-Fi if this is busy,’ and then it will prioritize traffic to that device for the next five hours,” Wright explained.
Look for this just as FIFA kicks off, and if you’re interested in learning more about Xfinity’s TV packages, we’ve got you covered right here. World Cup matches and coverage will be broadcast across Fox networks and platforms, including Tubi and Fox One.
