A YouTuber who primarily creates videos on Grand Theft Auto 6 filmed himself entering the lobby of developer Rockstar North’s office and claims that local police were called and became involved in the situation.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know the next Grand Theft Auto 6 is the most anticipated video game release of 2026 and will likely be one of the biggest media launches in history. So it’s no surprise that people are going wild waiting for a new trailer or new information. This doesn’t excuse what an online creator did earlier on May 26 (once the release date was scheduled for GTA6 before it was delayed a second time), but it provides context as to why someone might fly to Edinburgh, Scotland, then enter the studio lobby behind GTA6.
On June 2, as spotted by IGNGerman YouTuber AboutGaming posted a video which shows them entering the Rockstar North lobby after staying at a luxury hotel across the street from the office. UberGaming also included a photo of two police officers it said showed up after Rockstar called the police. Online, many reacted with confusion and disgust, saying the creator did this just for attention. Others claimed he had been arrested, but this has not yet been confirmed. More likely, he was escorted from the premises and warned not to return.
The police officers who showed up, according to the YouTuber. © Ubergaming / Kotaku My city has contacted Rockstar Games for more information on the situation. Grand Theft Auto 6 is (still) scheduled to launch on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Unfortunately for the developers working at Rockstar North, who are already facing many problems. other serious problemsthis isn’t the first time an obsessed fan has shown up unexpectedly at the RGT studio. Last October, a TikTok creator visited the studio and began harassing and harassing employees entering and leaving the building.
This should go without saying, but don’t show up at game studios to harass people or break into the premises just because you’re really, really excited about a game or know other people are excited about it. Stop. Be normal. Read a book. Eat ice cream. Take a nap. I don’t know, but don’t do that shit, okay?
