Heavy is the head that carries the Xbox Game Pass crown. Right now, Xbox is going at it, trying to figure out what the future of the brand will be in the years to come. They just announced a ton of new titles for their Summer Game Fest (SGF) 2026 showcase, but some proprietary studios would be in difficulty.
This is in addition to the recontextualization of Xbox Game Pass pricing and offerings, as well as the impending Project Helix, which is expected to arrive at some point, bringing Microsoft into the next generation. There’s a lot up in the air right now, but something is coming to Xbox Game Pass that you can enjoy in the near future.
One of the best games of 2025 is free on July 2 and you won’t want to miss it.
From July 2, you will be able to play Tony Hawk’s Professional Skater 3 + 4 on PC, console and cloud devices via Xbox Game Pass. Originally released in mid-2025 on PC, PS4/PS5, Switch 1/2 and Xbox Series X/S, this prolific series returns with a remake of the third and fourth main iterations of the iconic Tony Hawk’s professional skater series, after the 2020s Tony Hawk’s Professional Skater 1+2 reorganize.
There is no other way to say it: Tony Hawk’s Professional Skater 3+4 is a huge win for Xbox Game Pass. Not only is it a faithful recreation of Tony Hawk 3but it is also reinvent Tony Hawk 4career mode in a more streamlined way, making it a great way to enter and exit Game Pass catalog entry. Even if the redesign of Tony Hawk 4 is controversial, the new format fits well with the stimulus package.
Plus, it’s pretty easy to get started with playing multiplayer on occasion. Iron Galaxy has done a fantastic job of reviving these classic games, especially since 3 is considered one of the best in the series. It features a great selection of levels and a ton of secret content and unlockables, which are thankfully devoid of tons of paid DLC compared to some other titles under the Activision banner.
Guest characters include the Doom Guy and the enemy Revenant from LossMichelangelo TMNTJack Black as Officer Dick and Bam Margera.
I’ve already 100% completed the game with a few skaters, but I still come back from time to time to get a higher score or enjoy some of the new levels added to the game. 3+4 pack. It’s amazing that this series is still around, considering its debut dates back to 1999.
We are approaching the 30th anniversary of Tony Hawk’s professional skater in a few years, and you can celebrate very early Xbox Game Pass in July. If you haven’t played this series in ages, now is a good time to come back and see what the modern developers have cooked up.
