Austin MetcalfFather says some TV personalities are making a killing with his son’s murder… and he’s not staying silent about what he sees as an injustice.
Jeff Metcalf takes aim at commentators who have continued to debate the Carmelo Anthony case since his murder conviction…claiming that some media figures are more interested in seeking clicks and attention than getting their facts straight.

The grieving father gushed during an appearance with the Fox News host Will Cainwhere he was asked about high-profile voices — including “The View” co-host Sunny accommodation – who called into question aspects of Anthony’s conviction and the rejection of his self-defense claim.
Jeff didn’t mince his words… telling commenters who never knew Austin, his twin brother Hunteror Anthony are using the affair for “their 15 minutes of fame” and seeking to “monetize the death of my son.”

Austin was killed in April 2025 during a confrontation at a Texas high school track meet.
Jeff specifically criticized Sunny for weighing in on the case… saying she had no understanding of the facts despite sharing her opinion with millions of viewers.
Jeff even offered to confront SUnny on “The View” … saying he would happily travel to New York to discuss the matter himself.

As TMZ reported, Jeff became one of the most vocal public figures following Anthony’s death. conviction And 35 year prison sentence.
In recent weeks, he looked Anthony in the eye and described the devastation left by Austin’s death, spoke about the trauma that still affects Hunter and defended the jury’s verdict in several interviews. He also made controversial comments on a podcast.

Anthony’s legal battle, meanwhile, is far from over. A newly assembled legal team announced Monday that it would review the trial file and pursue all available avenues to challenge the conviction.
For Jeff, however, the fight isn’t just happening in the courts anymore…it’s happening on TV, online, and anywhere else people continue to debate the case.
