It won’t be long until Samsung’s second major phone launch of the year, with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked showcase expected to take place later today.
This follows February’s Unpacked event, where we saw the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, but this time we’re not just expecting phones, because with a selection of new foldables – including an all-new form factor – we’ll likely also see new smartwatches, and even maybe the Samsung Galaxy Glasses.
So whether you’re looking for a handset or a laptop, there might be something for you here, and below you’ll find all the details on how to get connected, as well as exactly what we expect to see.
How to watch the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026
The next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked will be held in London, but as with most major tech launches, it will also be streamed online, so you can watch it from anywhere.
It starts at 9am ET / 6am PT / 2pm BST / 11pm AEST on July 22, so at least it’s not the middle of the night for any of these locations, although viewers on the west coast of the US will have to get up early, and if you’re in certain parts of Australia you may have to stay up late.
To tune in, you can simply go to the Samsung website, where the video will be streamed live. It will also be viewable live on Samsung’s YouTube page. But there’s no need to go there either, because the embedded video on this page (above) will also stream the stream once it’s live.
Wherever you choose to watch it, you don’t need to tune in live if the times aren’t convenient for you, as you’ll also be able to watch the video afterwards. However, you may prefer to simply return to TechRadar, where we’ll cover all announcements with in-depth analysis.
What to expect at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026
We’ve written a comprehensive overview of what to expect at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026, but in short, there will likely be a mix of phones and wearables.
On the phone side, it’s likely they’ll all be foldable, with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra all rumored to make an appearance.
Of these three, the Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra are considered fairly conventional successors to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, respectively. Watch out for new chipsets, smaller folds and potentially new cameras, but nothing really revolutionary is expected there.
The most interesting phone is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, which, despite its name, reportedly has a new form factor, making it wider and shorter than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Z Fold 8 Ultra. As a result, it will likely also be a more affordable phone.
For wearables, we’ll likely see the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, with the latter of these products looking the most interesting, as it could have a high-capacity 800mAh battery and – for the first time on a Galaxy Watch – support 5G.
Finally, Samsung could also take the opportunity to launch its first smart glasses, which could be called Samsung Galaxy Glasses. These would be screenless glasses running Android XR, allowing you to talk to Gemini and looking set to rival Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
