I quickly gave up looking for jobs that required an early morning start (mainly because I couldn’t find any).

Luckily, in my search for non-gaming words, I found “flower” and then “spring” and pasted them together for today’s spangram.

However, after finding the obvious one of SPRINGBLOSSOM with DAFFODIL, I reached the limits of my floral knowledge and needed two clues to virtually get a complete bouquet.

Strands is the not-so-new pun from The New York Times, after Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full member of the year-old NYT games stable and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
