representative John Jackson is firmly in Pope Leoamid recent conflict with the president Asset …and he reminds POTUS that he is not God.
A photographer caught the Illinois congressman arriving in Washington DC on Monday after a two-week paid congressional vacation and asked him about Trump’s attacks on the pope.
Jackson, the son of the deceased Reverend Jesse Jacksonsays Pope Leo must not be disturbed and Trump must be reigned in.
As you know… Trump attacked Pope Leo on social media, then posted and deleted an AI-generated image where he appeared to be Jesus Christ. Asset explained Monday he thought the image showed him as a doctor.
Pope Leo said he wasn’t afraid of Trump and Rep. Jackson says that’s partly because Leo is from Chicago.
In response to a personal attack from President Donald Trump the night before, Pope Leo told reporters aboard the papal plane to Algeria:

Rep. Jackson says the Catholic Church made the right choice with Leo…he says he’s the right pope at the right time.
Senator Ted Cruz wasn’t willing to take sides in this matter, but Rep. Jackson has no problem denouncing Trump here.
