Mindy Cohn Shares Her Secret Battle With Cancer and Says She’s Beat It Again

Mindy Cohn is back in a fight she knows all too well… and once again, she comes through with flying colors.

The “Facts of Life” actress shocked fans Sunday by revealing she’s secretly battling cancer again… explaining that her recent disappearance from social media wasn’t a coincidence.

Cohn dropped the bomb in a raw, all-lowercase format. Instagram post, telling her followers that she had been “off social media for a while because I had to go kick cancer’s ass.” And according to her, mission accomplished…with a ton of help from her medical team at Providence Saint John’s in Santa Monica, as well as what she calls her “hero,” oncology surgeon Dr. Anton Bilchik.

She also didn’t hold back her gratitude – calling out his name to her nurses and giving great love to those around her, including her close friends… calling them her “ride-or-dies” who step in whenever it’s “my turn.”

Although she’s clearly been through this ordeal, Mindy isn’t staying bedridden for long: she says she still has a few weeks of recovery before she prepares for her “next adventure.” His signature says it all: “Forward! F**K Cancer!”

This isn’t Mindy’s first brutal battle with illness. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 after noticing extreme fatigue during a walk in her Los Angeles neighborhood — a moment she later described in a 2017 article. People interview like the beginning of a long and exhausting journey.

Over the next five years, she underwent radiotherapy, chemotherapy and ultimately a double mastectomy – before being declared cancer-free and ready to return to work in Hollywood.
