Preparation for Deborah’s (Jean Smart) solo show at Madison Square Garden is in full swing…and this week, we’re getting a double dose of Tips.
After foiling his own original plan to finalize the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) awards show at the premiere of Tips season 5, Deborah decided to make her comeback by selling out Madison Square Garden.
There’s just one problem: Legally, she’s not allowed to perform under the terms of the injunction against her — something Ava (Hannah Einbinder) is scrupulously trying to avoid.

For American viewers, Tips episodes 4 and 5 of season 5 will be released together on Thursday April 30 to 9 p.m. ET.
Internationally, you are looking for these times:
- WE – 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET
- Canada – 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET
- India – Friday, May 1 at 6:30 a.m. IST
- Singapore – Friday May 1st at 9am SGT
- Australia – Friday May 1st at 11am AEDT
- New Zealand – Friday May 1st at 12pm NZDT
In the United Kingdom, HacksSeason 5 began airing on Sky and NOW TV from April 17 and is a week late.
There is currently no confirmation as to when it will arrive on HBO Max UK.
When are the new episodes of season 5 of Hacks released?
According to HBO Max, Tips Season 5 will consist of 10 episodes, with new episodes every week (except April 30 and May 7, where two episodes will be removed).
This gives us the following schedule:
